What a day! What a night!

June 12, 2009

I finally got my license and made it back home. I went out in the night with my friends. I’ve come back to Dubai after 2 years and I’ve forgotten all the roads which led me get lost twice. But at least now I know where not to go. :) Anyway, I’m used to it. If I lose things I own, it’s only fair that I get lost sometimes too. Literally! I found my way back eventually and went to this club called ‘KEVA’. It’s new. It was okay. My friend suggested we go to ‘KANDY CLUB’ where Juggy D had come to perform. So we did. I left my car behind because he said he would drop me back.

The long weekend

May 5, 2009

We got onto the ferry and five minutes into the sea, we were hit hard by another boat. That was scary. I could almost hear everyone’s knocking knees. We weren’t too far from the shore but it was scary nonetheless. After some fighting and grumbling from some other people, we progressed. The ferry was so damn slow! If I could walk on water, I’d have walked faster.

A day in Paradise

April 7, 2009

Post all this, we fought with a cabbie, walked a lot in the humidity (after a shower), ate horrible food, fell really sick, made out and went to sleep. Our train was to leave at 9:30 the next morning. We, very comfortably sat in the AC compartment without tickets. But thankfully, we were a rather large group and so the ticket checker got confused.

My first time

February 17, 2009

After much waiting and plan cancelling (thanks to my friends who think it’s their birth right to come late) I finally went to The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival on Sunday. I’d never been there before and it was really exciting for me. I had been waiting to visit the festival but for like a week I kept getting delayed, either because of work or simply from lack of company.

Bloody Goa

February 10, 2009

Not surprisingly, I missed my bus. I got stuck in one of the worst traffic jams ever in ‘Bandra’. Some of my friends got onto the bus while the others waited for me to reach the bus stop. They kept calling while I was stuck in a rickshaw. I had to get down from the rickshaw and run. Not walk, run. I was going to miss the bus, which like I said, I did. The bus stop was far from where I got off. So I had to run. WITH MY BAG!! A friend was with me at the time and we both ran.

Little trips contd.

January 8, 2009

We found a place to sit in the crowded restaurant and I sent Manish to get the food. What he got was 2 pomegranate juices, 1 cup of coffee, 1 chocolate doughnut, 1 huge cheese and tomato omlette with toast, 1 portion of baked potatoes (mind you it was a very big portion) and 1 veg burger the size of the world. I don’t have a large appetite but he usually does but obviously, on this day he didn’t.

Food for thought

January 7, 2009

After climbing 6 floors…I obviously felt the need to make up for the tiny amount of calories that I had lost. I had an ‘Aloo ka paratha’ cooked in a lot of ‘ghee’ and laden with butter. So much for climbing 6 floors. My friends spent most of the day lazing around while I chose to play ridiculously funny sex games on my laptop. They’re hilarious. Everyone should try them sometime. My friends then decided they hadn’t lazed around enough and went to sleep while I continued playing.

Little trips

January 3, 2009

We finally, by the grace of God and after travelling for 5 hours continuously, managed to find her house. She wanted to pick up some lunch, for which we had to wait another 1/2 hr. On reaching her building, she said there was no electricity. Let me tell you she lives on the sixth floor. I did not want to climb that much. But they made me. I huffed and puffed and reached the top. We entered her house and I downed a whole bottle of water for fear of death. That’s what happens when you miss the gym God has his way of setting things right.
